Dudley, June 7th 2019 - Casino 36 Ltd has started work on a new £12million casino &

entertainment centre at the Castlegate Retail Park in the heart of Dudley. The project is due

to take a year and it is expected to open in the Summer of 2020. The Casino will employ

over 100 people and will bring a new state of the art casino experience to the Black

Country. It will be a two storey building featuring the casino & bar on the first floor and an

entertainment venue on the ground floor.

A groundbreaking ceremony was held today at the site and was attended by Adrian

Ballard, Casino 36 Director; Mayor of Dudley Cllr David Stanley; Ian Austin, MP for Dudley

North and Corin Crane Chief Executive of the Black Country Chamber of Commerce.

Adrian Ballard, Casino 36 Director, said he was inspired to invest in Dudley following

Dudley Council’s commitment to regenerating the town centre.

Dudley has, in my eye, always been a leading market town. The plans to move the area

forward are admirable, and something I am keen to be involved in,” he said.

I feel the opportunities our new site will provide will complement these plans and be an
additional vehicle to bring much-needed tourism back to the borough. When considering
which new facilities to offer, we didn’t want to just cater to an existing client market. We are
determined to provide something that the area is lacking, and are focused on providing new
facilities in a friendly and safe environment where people can relax in an exciting and fresh
new setting.”

Councillor David Stanley, The Mayor of Dudley, said:

Dudley Council is committed to supporting regeneration, investment and enterprise in
Dudley borough and it was a wonderful experience to visit the site where this new business
will be based. “I am delighted they have chosen Dudley for this £12m development, it be a
good addition to the leisure and retail offer at Castlegate.

Ian Austin, MP for Dudley North, said:

“I am delighted that there is new investment in Dudley and that 100 new jobs will be
created for local people. There are lots of exciting things happening in the town, and I was
really glad to be down at the site to be part of the ground breaking ceremony and see the
start of this £12million new development”

Corin Crane, Chief Executive of the Black Country Chamber of Commerce, said:

“Casino 36 are a great local success story and their expansion into Dudley comes after
substantial investment into their casino in Wolverhampton. It will also put them in the heart
of Dudley which is going through a period of huge investment from the Metro extension, the
development of the Institute of Technology, the massive expansion of the Black Country
Living Museum. Casino 36 will hopefully become a key part of our local tourism offer and
